In The Vineyard:

About the area South Africa's vineyards are mostly situated in the Western Cape near the coast. This is the southernmost region of the African continent, and has a Mediterranean type climate and diverse soils perfectly suited to quality grape production.

About The Harvest:

Muscadel grapes were harvested when perfectly ripe. In The Cellar Winemaking Muscadel grapes were harvested when perfectly ripe and were crushed and pressed. The grape juice did not undergo alcoholic fermentation, but was fortied with grape spirit and then matured in barrels.

Maturation:

20% of the Muscadel was matured in 5 000 litre vats for 1 year. Varietals: Muscadel.
